The Spanish Steps

The famous Spanish Steps aren't even called that here in Italy.  They got their nickname because they once led to the Spanish Embassy in Rome.  They are the widest staircase in Europe.

After the Colosseum, we made our way to the Spanish Steps.  We didn't spend a lot of time there, but pretty much all the bus groups converged by that point and a lot of us spent some time at the small fountain located at the bottom of the Steps, where your intrepid blogger got many to pose for some pictures.
